HanVoice is a Canadian human rights organization established in 2007, dedicated to ending the plight of North Korean refugees. HanVoice has since grown into an organization of hundreds of concerned Canadian citizens, engaging in various public awareness raising projects, networking with other human rights organizations and community organizations, and lobbying with the Canadian government.HanVoice believes that the North Korean refugees crisis is an urgent problem that requires international action. As Canadians, we not only believe that Canada has the responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves but also that we can, because we are Canadians, raise our voice and make an impact in the lives of North Korean refugees. |

The Citizens’ Alliance for North Korean Human Rights endeavors to protect the lives and human rights of North Koreans in a spirit of brotherhood, to bridge the gap and reconcile the division between the people, and support the reunification of the two Koreas.In order to fulfill these purposes, the Citizens’ Alliance for North Korean Human Rights aims to:1) Collect and publicize facts and other information on the current North Korean human rights situation, particularly regarding political prison camps.
2) Garner support from the international community to condemn and bring an end to the systematic violation of human rights in North Korea, particularly with respect to forces labor of political prisoners.
3) Protect the lives and human rights of North Korean refugees.
4) Assist North Korean new settlers in South Korea with a focus on youth education.
5) Coordinate efforts with other human rights organizations to fulfill the programs mentioned above. |

NKnet was founded in 1999 by former supporters of North Korean socialism, the Network for North Korean Democracy and Human Rights (NKnet) holds seminars, press conferences, and an International Conference on North Korean Human Rights. We publish a monthly magazine, NK Vision, and started and successfully spun off The Daily NK and Radio Free Chosun. We also do research and publish reports, hold photo exhibitions, have sent leaflets and DVDs to North Korea via balloon, and engage in movement-building activities. In Fall 2012, we will host our second North Korean Human Rights International Film Festival in Seoul.NKnet’s mission is to contribute to the advancement of the human race through the realization of human rights and democracy in North Korea. |
